Lizzy is pleased to be debuting her new symphony show on February 13th, 2015 in Cranbrook, BC with the Symphony of the Kootenays! Entitled, " Lizzy Hoyt's Canadian Folk Sketches" the show will mix some of her original, award-winning, Canadian-inspired songs with beloved folk songs from across the country! You won't want to miss it!

Canadian Folk Music Awards!
The Canadian Folk Music Award Nominees were announced on September 9th and we are once again thrilled to see that New Lady on the Prairie was recognized ! Lizzy received a nomination for Solo Artist of the Year! The conference and awards take place in Edmonton from November 6-8th. Lizzy will also be showcasing on Sunday November 8th, live on CKUA radio with Tom Coxworth! Be sure to tune in!

Edmonton Folk Festival
Lizzy will be performing at Edmonton's renowned folk festival this summer from Aug 7-10th! For more information, visit: www.edmontonfolkfest.org.
This winter, Lizzy has been very busy on the road, but she has also been in studio working on a new album! Co-produced by mandolinist-extraordinare, John Reischman, the album will feature new material from Lizzy as well as some traditional songs! Stay tuned for more information. Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal!
Lizzy was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Governor General of Canada for her outstanding contribution to commemorating Canadian veterans and history through music! The ceremony took place on Parliament Hill on Monday February 25th, 2013.

Film Awards 2013
Lizzy's music video wins a 2013 Diamond Award at the California Film Awards. It also brought home the Audience Choice Award and Best Music Video at the Tupelo Film Festival as well as three awards at the Women's Independent Film Festival in LA, including Best Actor, Best Directing and Best Music Video!

Lizzy's Vimy Ridge music video won two awards at the Edmonton International Film Festival! We were so honoured to be recognized by way of "Best Canadian Short (Music Video)" and "The Bobby Award" for Best Cinematography 2012! The video is also an official selection for the Women's Independent Film Festival in Los Angelos, USA (November 2nd-3rd). Keep checking back for more updates!
